NOMINATION GUIDELINES:

 

All nominees must be residing in Canada

 

If a nominee is under the age of 19 and is selected for a BCCA they must be accompanied to the awards by a parent(s) and/or guardian(s)

 

BCCAs also accept self-nominations. 

 

All nominees and recipients of the BCCAs are champions of body equity, body positivity, and body diversity in Canada.

BCCA recipients do not buy into the idea that there is one body ‘norm.’ Instead recipients are actively striving to challenge the status quo and to reimagine diverse bodies limitlessly.

 

The BCCAs are heavily influenced by critical media, race, disability, fat studies, queer and feminist theories.  We invite you to Google these as they are great markers of our BCCA philosophies.
